Dewatering Screen Sizing
The dewatering screen sizing is mainly used to process the screening and classification of granular materials of different sizes. The vibrating dewatering screen sizing can be divided into different categories according to the different screening tasks. The quality index of the vibrating dewatering screen is the screening efficiency, and the quantity index is productivity. The relationship between screening efficiency and productivity determines the screening result of the dewatering screen.
Different sizing classification
Screening operations to reduce the moisture content of materials. This type of screening is mainly used for the dewatering of processed products in sand and gravel production lines and coal preparation plants.
In order to reduce the pollution of fine coal with high ash content, the coal preparation plant screens the slime from the coal or coal-water mixture during the dehydration process. The method used is the wet screening method.
In order to remove the heavy medium, strengthen the clean water on the sieve to achieve the separation of the product and the heavy quality.
The factors that influencing dewatering screen sizing
1. Physical properties of materials
The nature of material refers to the material’s particle size composition, humidity, mud content and particle shape. If the material humidity is too high, the screening efficiency of the vibrating dewatering screen will decrease. The larger the mesh size of the dewatering screen, the less affected by moisture. Therefore, for materials with high moisture content, the vibrating dewatering screen can be enlarged, or wet screening can be used. Generally, the material has a large mud content, and when the mud content exceeds 8%, wet screening or pre-washing is used.
2. Screen surface properties and structure
The vibrating dewatering screen makes the screen surface and particles move vertically, with high screening efficiency and strong productivity. In the case of certain materials, the sieve size determines the productivity and screening efficiency of the vibrating dewatering screen. The larger the ratio of the sieve area to the surface area of the vibrating dewatering screen, the greater the productivity per unit area and the screening efficiency. The larger the mesh size of the dewatering screen, the greater the productivity of the screen surface, and the greater the screening efficiency of the vibrating dewatering screen.
3. Dewatering screen production conditions
The vibrating dewatering screen has a large load, and the screening efficiency is low. The amplitude and number of vibrations of the dewatering screen have a certain relationship with the structural material. Within the specified range, the increase in vibration can increase the screening index.
