The Spiral Chute Beneficiation Process

The spiral chute beneficiation process is to separate and purify the useful minerals in the raw materials from impurities such as waste rock by flotation separation of ore using physical beneficiation methods, and improve the grade and recovery rate of useful minerals. By adopting the spiral chute beneficiation process, waste rock containing high-grade magnetite and tungsten ore can be purified.

Spiral chute beneficiation process

The spiral chute beneficiation process mainly consists of the following links: roughing, grinding, washing, desludging, iron selection and tungsten selection.

1. Roughing: After the raw materials are crushed, the vibrating feeder is used to feed the ore into the hammer crusher for rough crushing. The crushed ore is fed into the vibrating screen through the feeder for screening, and the stones with a diameter greater than 15 mm are separated.

2. Grinding: The separated stones are fed into the ball mill through the feeder for grinding, so that the size of the ore becomes uniform, while reducing the viscosity of the ore and improving the solubility and fluidity.

3. Ore washing: The slurry after ore washing is fed into the spiral chute through the side feeding method for separation, and the flotation foam is discharged from the bottom of the pool. The separation of minerals is achieved by adjusting the parameters such as the concentration of the reagent and the flow rate of the washing water.

4. Desludging: The washed minerals are separated again by a centrifuge to remove impurities such as mud.

5. Iron selection: The washed minerals are fed into a magnetic separator for magnetic separation to extract the magnetite and remove impurities such as waste rock.

6. Tungsten selection: The waste rock after iron selection is screened through a vibrating screen to remove large particles of waste rock and stone, and other impurities. The remaining minerals are separated again by a centrifuge to extract the tungsten ore.

Advantages of the spiral chute ore dressing process

The spiral chute ore dressing process has the advantages of coarse selection, high recovery rate, simple operation, and good technical and economic performance. It can be used to select magnetite, tungsten ore, and tin ore, with a size of 0.3-0.02m, with a recovery rate of more than 90%, which improves the grade and value of the ore, reduces the cost of ore processing, and reduces resource waste.

The spiral chute beneficiation process has a limited range of adaptability to minerals and can only be used to process minerals with finer particle sizes. At the same time, foam is easily generated in the process flow, which requires timely cleaning and maintenance; otherwise, it may affect the effect and stability of the beneficiation.
