2026 Comprehensive Vibrating Screen Troubleshooting Solutions (28 Items)

Vibrating screens are widely used high-frequency equipment in mines and prone to various malfunctions. 3 Types of Troubleshootings & 28 Inspection and Maintenance Solutions

 (1) Poor Screening Effect — Inspection & Maintenance from 10 Items

1. Blocked screen apertures or damaged screen surface
2. Excessively high moisture content of raw materials
3. Uneven feeding to the screen
4. Over-thick material layer on the screen deck
5. Loose screen mesh
6. Stop the screen machine, clean or replace the screen mesh
7. Adjust the inclination angle of the vibrating screen
8. Regulate the feeding volume
9. Reduce the feeding capacity
10. Tighten the screen mesh

(2) Insufficient Rotational Speed & Overheated Bearings — Inspection & Maintenance from 8 Items

1. Insufficient lubricating oil in bearings
2. Contaminated bearings
3. Overfilled bearing oil or substandard oil quality
4. Worn bearings
5. Replenish lubricating oil
6. Clean bearings, replace sealing rings and inspect sealing assemblies

Graded Daily Maintenance Specifications

To reduce frequent breakdowns of vibrating screens, all maintenance and overhaul work shall be performed by dedicated staff. Daily, weekly, monthly and annual inspections are required to extend the overall service life of the machine.

(1) Daily Inspection

1. Check whether bolts on the vibrator and all machine parts are loose;

2. Check if the screen surface is slack or damaged. Promptly repair screens with excessively worn apertures.

(2) Monthly Inspection

1. Fully inspect the screen frame and welding seams for cracks;

2. Crack repair process: Drill Φ5mm crack stop holes at both ends of cracks, open welding grooves and preheat the base metal; grind the weld flat after welding and reinforce with additional backing plates;

3. No unauthorized gas cutting or welding attachments on the screen frame to avoid fracture caused by stress concentration.

(3) Annual Inspection (Vibrator Overhaul)

1. Mark matching positions between bearing inner rings and bearing seats before disassembling the vibrator. Reassemble parts according to marks to retain the original bearing clearance;

2. Replace the entire bearing set if pitting corrosion appears on bearings;

3. Bearing disassembly: Heat the original inner ring for removal; heat new bearing inner rings in oil bath at 80~100°C before fitting onto the main shaft;

4. Assembly requirement: Keep the phase positions of eccentric blocks on vibrators on both sides of the machine fully consistent.

(4) Lubrication Standard Specification

1. The vibrator adopts thin oil lubrication. Replace the lubricant after the first 40 hours of operation, and the oil change cycle is 120 hours under normal working conditions.

2. The lubricating oil shall comply with GB13895-1992 Heavy-duty Vehicle Gear Oil, Grade GL-5.

3. Inject lubricating oil regularly as required for different types of vibrators and bearings. Complete a thorough cleaning of vibrator bearings once a year to guarantee favorable lubrication performance.
