Overview
Grizzly screen consists of parallel steel bars or rods, with gaps (screen apertures) designed according to screening requirements, typically exceeding 50mm and minimally reaching 25mm. Grizzly screen usually called static grizzly rock screen is suitable for various industries and applications, including open-pit mining, recycling, crushing, and demolition.
-
Working principle
Grizzly screen is installed at an incline angle, generally between 35°–50°. Angle selection depends on material properties (e.g., increased by 5°–10° for cohesive materials). Material is fed from the higher end, where undersized particles pass through the gaps as fines, while oversized particles slide along the surface as coarse discharge.
-
Features & Benefits
1. Simple and robust structure with no moving parts.
2. No electrical drive required, ensuring low maintenance costs.
3. Capable of processing large lumps (maximum lump size ≤ 2.5 times screen width).
-
Specifications
Design must ensure screen width ≥ 2.5 times the maximum lump size, with aperture dimensions set at 1.1–1.2 times the target particle size. Customization is available based on material characteristics. -
