Hammer mill (also called HM series coarse powder mill) is one kind of new high efficient grinding machine. This mill is mainly used for coarse powder and small size of sand producing. The output size can reach more than 90% of 0-3mm. Hammer mill is widely used in metallurgy, mining, chemical, cement, construction, industrial and mining industries etc.
Hammer mill is mainly composed of casing, rotor, striking iron and grate bar.
When the mill is working, the main shaft is driven by the motor and V-belt to drive the rotor to rotate. When the hammer head is subjected to the centrifugal force generated by the rotation, the large pieces of material will be broken by the high-speed hammer after entering the crushing chamber from the feed port.
Qualified material is discharged from the lower part of the castor bar with gap, and the unqualified material is left in the crushing chamber and repeatedly acted by the hammer and bearing iron block until it can be discharged. In order to avoid clogging, the moisture content of crushed materials is generally less than 5%.
